Why is my lip balm grainy and bumpy?
Your lip balm is not defective. What you may see is in fact called, Crystallization. This process tends to happen when using shea, cocoa, and/or mango butter in products. Crystallization is the process of the butters cooling at different temperatures.
As you keep your lip balm in your possession you may experience melting due to where you leave your balm. The melting and cooling can contribute to the Crystallization, however once completely cooled after melting any grainy appearance or texture should disappear.
When put on your lips, your lip balm will still be moisturizing.
My lip balm has melted, what should I do?
This will occur, like most products. If your lip balm melts, simply place your lip balm in the refrigerator until it solidifies and your lip balm is good as new!
